Claudia Johnson

Claudia Wyatt-Johnson is a nationally recognized compensation and strategy consultant. For more than 30 years, she has worked closely with boards and senior leaders to design compensation programs to retain key executives, reward performance and increase shareholder value.

She has depth and breadth of experience in the healthcare industry and has worked with providers, insurers, biotech companies and pharmaceutical organizations.

Claudia has succeeded as an entrepreneur, a consultant, a manager, and an advisor to boards because of her ability to influence decision-makers, to resolve conflict and to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of colleagues, clients and potential competitors.

Prior to co-founding PinP in 1997, Claudia was a Principal at Ernst & Young where she helped build the total compensation practice and led collaboration with the audit and tax practices. She also served as compensation leader for the Board of Directors Initiative and designed the Board Development Program, addressing compensation oversight and regulatory requirements for corporate boards.

From 1982-1995, she was with Watson Wyatt (now Towers Watson). Beginning as a senior consultant, she progressed to Midwest Compensation Practice Leader and Healthcare Industry Practice Leader. In that role, she had profit/loss responsibility and grew revenues from $500,000 to $5 million.

Claudia began her financial career as Director of Compensation for the Heublein Corporation and as Director of Compensation and Benefits for Playboy Enterprises. From 1970-1980 she had successive positions as a teacher, social worker and consultant.

Today, in addition to her work with PinP, Claudia chairs the Compensation Committee of the Board of Trustees of Lake Forest College. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Alumni Board of the College. Claudia also serves on the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. She is a member of NACD.
